MSI Addresses Intel 13th & 14th Gen CPU Instability Issues with New Microcode Patch

MSI, a leading motherboard manufacturer, is actively working to resolve the instability issues faced by users of Intel’s 13th and 14th Gen Desktop CPUs. The company has announced that it is developing a new BIOS update, which is expected to address the problem by mid-August.

The Instability Problem

Intel’s Raptor Lake and Refresh chips, particularly the Core i9 CPUs, have been plagued by instability. Users have reported freezes and crashes, leading to concerns about the safety of their systems. MSI has closely collaborated with Intel to understand the situation and monitor progress.

The Solution: New BIOS and Microcode Update

MSI’s press release confirms that they are committed to providing a solution. First, they will release an updated BIOS for affected CPUs. Additionally, Intel is set to release a microcode update in mid-August, which MSI will promptly integrate into their BIOS. This coordinated effort aims to mitigate the instability issues.
