Crimson Desert Rumored to Launch Early Next Year Following Gamescom Demo

Crimson Desert, originally announced by South Korean developer Pearl Abyss at G-Star 2019, has been a highly anticipated game. Initially planned as an MMO, the game later shifted its focus to an open-world action/adventure experience with multiplayer support. However, development encountered delays, and the release was postponed indefinitely.

Fast forward to Gamescom 2023, where Pearl Abyss showcased a gameplay trailer for Crimson Desert. Now, according to leaker Lunatic Ignus, the game is set to be playable at Gamescom 2024, with a full launch expected in early 2025. This aligns with Pearl Abyss’s recent financial report, which emphasized the need to kick off marketing efforts.

Fans can also look forward to DokeV, a Pokémon-like game, releasing within a year of Crimson Desert. Additionally, PLAN 8, an exosuit MMO shooter, will reportedly follow shortly after DokeV.
