A new gaming handheld with the Intel 14th Gen Meteor Lake mobile processors has been revealed by a brand. The Emdoor EM-GP080MTL is a gaming device that offers many impressive features and sets a new standard. Let’s take a look at what this Meteor Lake-powered handheld has to offer!
At the Hong Kong Electronics Fair 2023 event, the Emdoor EM-GP080MTL was displayed by the Chinese company. The media outlet Notebook Italia was present to see the handheld. It uses the upcoming Intel 14th Gen processors that leverage the new architecture. The Emdoor handheld has an Intel Arc 5 graphics card, which is part of the Meteor Lake-H-based CPU. This also verifies the name that Intel will use for its integrated GPUs.
And now we see an unnamed Intel 14th Gen Meteor Lake processor running Forza Horizon 5 at ~60FPS on 1080p. However, this gaming handheld by Emdoor does not have any performance figures yet. But the Xe-Cores in this graphics card are likely to be strong enough for the latest AAA games today. The video (via: Notebook Italia) showed God Of War playing smoothly on the gaming device.
As for its display specs, it has an 8-inch screen with a 1920 x 1200 resolution. It will support up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM. The storage capacity is up to a 2TB PCIe Gen 4×4 drive. The device looks quite sturdy and durable, and can handle the stress and heat. With this product, the company aims to compete with handhelds like the Asus ROG Ally, Nintendo Switch, and Valve’s Steam Deck.
Emdoor is among the first companies to demonstrate a new handheld based on this processor. Intel is also changing the whole processor naming system to reflect this huge shift in their microprocessor architectural innovation.
